Mastering
Mastering
is the final step in the recording chain,
giving
your album a consistant and polished
professional sound.
Some tracks may need some touchup EQ to add
sparkle
or correct problematic frequency buildup.
Compression and
limiting is typically employed to increase
overall level and
provide consistancy in volume among all the
tracks.
We
have a referal list of professional mastering
engineers who
specialize in the final polishing process that
will help give your
recording that final touch. However, many of our
clients lack
the budget for these specialized
services.
We
master many or the projects recorded here as
well as
projects recorded in other facilities or home
studios. We can
master from almost any stereo mixdown format
:

Depending
on the source material, we can utilize
either an analog or digital signal path. We can
even
print your digital mixes onto analog tape to
add
warmth and natural tape compression.
If
you're recording at another facility or home
studio,
it's a good idea to contact us prior to mixing.
This way
we can advise you on the proper way to approach
your
mix so that we can work from the best source
material,
thereby achieving optimum results.
